Biography

Marlene Bowman arrived in Vancouver, from the priairies in the early 1970s and later moved to East Sooke, where she makes her raku and hand built works. Much of her work is concerned with her local environment and she used textures and sprigging to support her narratives. She occasionally fires in the Tozan kiln up-Island. Marlene is also a member of the Fired UP Collective.
