Biography
Martha Melling studied ceramics with Donna McLaren from 1974-76 at Capilano College. Other influences were David Leach, and Harlan House. Martha made a range of functional ware, and is known for her close attention to detail. She served as a juror for the PGBC for a show at Robson Square in 1983 and her work was in the PGBC Cooking With Clay calendar. Her work has also appeared in shows in Seattle and Montreal. From 1984-86 she was a PGBC Board member during the early years of the Gallery on Granville Island, and Martha sold through the Gallery of BC Ceramics.
