Biography
Jeanne Sarich received her BA from Simon Fraser in 1969 and attended Douglas College (Fred Owen) and was a scholarship student at Banff Centre 1976. In 1979 Received the Olea Davis Special Award for outstanding contributions to BC ceramics. She taught at Douglas college from 1977 and at the Surrey Art Centre, and exhibited widely in BC
Jeanne had been involved with the PGBC during the 1970 and 80s, teaching workshops on Raku and pit firing with an historical approach. In 1981 she was one of the teachers offering classes through the Traveling Workshops that were organized by Rhonda Green for the PGBC
Jeanie also often contributed to the PGBC newsletter and was involved with trying to find a studio associated with the PGBC during the 1980s.
