Biography
Stan Leak, aka Stan Lake, was an artist, activist, performer and occasionally a ceramicist, during the 1980s, 1990s, active in the downtown core of Vancouver, associated with grunt gallery, and the Helen Pitt Gallery(1979/80) (now Unit/Pitt) and friends and collaborator with activist artist, Bill Rennie, and collector, John Lawrence. He made detailed and delicate figurative ceramic work. Stan collaborated with Bill Rennie in the performance production of The Masque of the Red Death, by the grunt gallery, and the Public Dreams Society, curated by Glenn Alteen and overseen by Glenn Lewis.
